Does time stand still if there's nothing to perceive it?
Does the truth have any meaning if we refuse to believe it?
Can reality be escaped if we try to deceive it?
Can the message get across if we will to receive it?
I had a dream -
She was standing by the shore
Just a dream -
But it somehow felt like more
And she took me by the hand and she led me to a path
I asked here where it led but she just looked at me and laughed
And said,
"Does time stand still if there's nothing to perceive it?
Does the truth have any meaning if we refuse to believe it?
Can reality be escaped if we try to deceive it?"
Will the pain ever go away without her to relieve it?
I found myself in another dimension
All by myself with no cause for pretension
And I gazed into the void and surrendered all my tension
With logic unemployed the laws abandoned all convention
And I wondered,
"Does time stand still if there's nothing to perceive it?
Does the truth have any meaning if we refuse to believe it?
Can reality be escaped if we try to deceive it?"
Can nirvana be attained if we try to achieve it?
I reach deep inside myself to place the meaning
Engaging in thoughts and behavior that seem so demeaning
I try to escape from the trap of my mind's own inventions
Results never fail to fail to match my initial intentions
I try to find my way out but I find myself lost
I call out for help but into the fray I am tossed
