Another evening on the way
The moon declares the end of day
The stars have all come out to play
But I don't know the game
Another evening spent with you
'Though you're not anywhere in view
And 'though the choices are so few
No single one of them will do
As I complete another list
Recall the chances that I've missed
As I continue to resist
As I continue to exist
The time it passes by so slow
And there's not anywhere to go
I contemplate all I don't know
