Banter @ The Linwood Grille, Boston, 1998

This photo documents the first 3-man lineup of Banter, after the first departure of Jeff Gourde and Doug MacBride, and also documents drummer Joe Smith's tendency at the time to finish a show by kicking over his drums a la his hero, Keith Moon. Bassist Jeff Nealon (Ultra Jones/Ginerette) and Dan take in the scene. Note that this is before the Linwood redid their stage.

Digital Bear CD release party at the Midway, Jamaica Plain, MA 6/6/99

This was the only gig we ever played at the Midway, or anywhere in Jamaica Plain for that matter. This was the CD release party for the Digital Bear compilation '99 CD. Folk acts Bean and James O'Brien opened up, then we went up and rocked and scared away a few old ladies. This was the 1st gig of Doogie's second stint with the band (after Jeff G. and then after Jeff Nealon, before Andrew Warden).
